Appalachian Miles for Smiles Provides Free Dental Care at LMU Mobile dental services

Appalachian Miles for Smiles visited the main campus of Lincoln Memorial University on Thursday, November 12, delivering free dental services to 77. Volunteer dentists and hygienists performed dental exams with x-rays, cleanings, extractions and restorative fillings.

  • TBA Members Mentor Law Students During LMU's Crim Law Day

    LMU Duncan School of Law Associate Dean of Faculty and Professor of Law Melanie Reid, as the Tennessee Bar Association Criminal Justice Section vice chair, invited local judges, LMU Law alumni practicing criminal law and attorneys from the TBA Criminal Justice Section to mentor students during the Second Annual Crim Law Day.   • LMU Medical Students Win Outstanding Youth In Philanthropy Award

    Three osteopathic medical students at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU)-Knoxville, were awarded the Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Great Smoky Mountain Chapter. The award was to be presented in person at the AFP’s National Philanthropy Day event; however, due to the pandemic, AFP will hold a live stream premiere of the documentary Hope in Chaos, featuring the award winners, on Friday, November 20, at 11:30 a.m. on the AFP Facebook Page. The documentary will rebroadcast on MyVLT Sunday, November 22, at 9 p.m., and will feature local individuals and agencies that have worked hard to meet new challenges and serve the community in big ways amid this year’s public health crisis.
