The Lincoln Memorial University School of Medical Sciences (LMU-SMS) proudly announces that faculty member Cheri Jrolf has been honored as the American Mothers Mother of the Year of Florida. This esteemed recognition will be bestowed upon her at the 89th National American Mothers Inc® Convention, scheduled for April 25-27 in Nebraska.

Jrolf, a dedicated faculty member at LMU-SMS, is more than an accomplished professional in the medical field; she is an inspiration in her roles as a mother, educator, and community advocate.

"In the beautiful tapestry of motherhood, I proudly weave the threads of raising four incredible boys and fostering the sweet essence of a precious baby girl," Jrolf said. "Balancing this intricate tapestry with my role as a faculty member at LMU adds another layer to the canvas. Still, it's a testament to the power of love, resilience, and the unwavering commitment to nurturing the hearts that call me 'mom.'"

With a Doctorate of Medical Science from A.T. Still University, Jrolf boasts over 26 years of clinical experience in general and specialty medicine. She is a board-certified physician assistant with a passion for preventative medicine and obesity management. Jrolf's commitment to education is evident through her creation of several patient education programs.

Jrolf's parenting philosophy revolves around balance, empathy, and engagement, reflecting her roles as a mother, medical professional, and community servant. Her involvement in youth sports, volunteering for the Special Olympics, local food banks, and medical missions in the Dominican Republic showcases her commitment to fostering a well-rounded, compassionate, and socially conscious family.

"Working in the medical field has reinforced the importance of compassion. I teach my boys to respect and empathize with others, understanding that each person’s journey is unique," Jrolf stated. "Empathy is another cornerstone."

Beyond her family, Jrolf actively engages in diverse activities that positively impact her community and beyond. From serving on the Youth Athletics Board of Directors to participating in global medical missions, Jrolf is a testament to the values of engagement, empathy, and dedication to meaningful causes.
