Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business Dean Kelsey Metz is pleased to welcome Richard Lane, PhD, as assistant professor of management.
“I am excited to share that Dr. Richard Lane has joined the School of Business as full-time faculty,” said Metz. “Dr. Lane maintains an undeniable commitment to student well-being and success, and will make a tremendous contribution to the advancement of the School of Business.”
Lane earned his Associate in Applied Science in Logistics from Community College of the Air Force in 2005, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Maryland in 2006, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from LMU in 2010, and a PhD in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership from Northcentral University in 2022.
Lane served 22 years and retired from the United States Air Force. Some of his time was spent on assignment at the Pentagon. He lead the team that earned a Best in Air Force Unit award in 2002. After his military service Lane worked as a manager for ADT Security then as vice president, service excellence, for Prime Therapeutics. He worked as an adjunct instructor for the LMU School of Business before he joined the faculty full time.
In addition to his varied experience, Lane is an Aubrey Daniels Certified Coach, has served as youth leader for Boy Scouts of America, is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society.
