The Lincoln Ambassadors of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) recently showcased their leadership and commitment to student success at the 2024 Southern Regional Orientation Workshop (SROW) held at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte.

During the three-day conference, 22 student leaders from LMU had the opportunity to engage with peers from universities across the region.

“They immersed themselves in deep learning sessions focused on their dual role as orientation leaders and peer mentors, further enhancing their ability to support incoming students,” said Assistant Dean of Students Dawson Delph.

"The Lincoln Ambassador program plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth transition of first-year students into university life," said Kelcee Griffith, director of Orientation and Transition Programs at LMU. "The tireless dedication of our Lincoln Ambassadors is truly commendable, and their participation in the SROW conference reflects their commitment to elevating the student experience."

Lincoln Ambassadors serve as mentors, providing guidance and support to first-year students as they navigate the challenges of college life. Through their efforts, they help foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among incoming students, ultimately contributing to their success as Railsplitters.

"The Southern Regional Orientation Workshop Conference celebrates the tireless dedication of our Lincoln Ambassadors, who continually elevate the student experience," Griffith added. "At this conference, they hone their skills, enrich their knowledge, and return with renewed passion to guide incoming students toward success at LMU."
