The Office of the General Counsel are the chief legal officers of the University. The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for the coordination and management of all legal issues affecting the University. The Office advises the Board of Trustees, the President, and the University’s academic and administrative units regarding a wide range of issues, including contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual property, and student conduct and governance. The goal of the Office of the General Counsel is to provide quality legal services promptly and effectively, and to assist in minimizing legal risks and costs efficiently, reliably, and professionally while supporting the University’s mission.
