More Than 70 Students, Faculty and Staff at LMU-DCOM Contributed to Research Presented During LMU’s Research Day

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) hosted its Research Day on April 12. This is a day when the University highlights the research of students, faculty and staff.  

During Research Day, students, staff and faculty from the LMU-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) showcased their research through posters and oral presentations. This group included fifty-five DO students, five anatomy PhD students, two staff members, and fifteen faculty members. 

LMU-DCOM students Erick Moberg, Mariah Bartz, Erinn Conlin, Conor McGrew, Grant Boxey and John Gassler were named winners of the Research Day Graduate Oral Presentation for their study titled "Prevalence of Plaques in the Spinal Cord Region of Human Anatomical Donors Following Complete Laminectomy Procedures." 

Additionally, students Ian Schultheiss, Tyler Cameron, Cody Carr, Conor McGrew, Eric Moberg and John Gassler were selected as the winners of the Research Day Graduate Group Poster Presentation for their study titled “Efficacy of 3D Printed Models in Anatomic Education.”
