Lincoln Memorial University’s (LMU) Movies in the Park is returning to Harrogate City Park for another summer of free family entertainment under the stars. LMU will host a series of three family-friendly outdoor movies beginning on Friday, June3.
“Movies in Park has become a summer tradition at LMU,” said Kate Reagan, senior director of marketing and public relations. “It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the Harrogate City Park and provide a free family event for our students, employees and community at large. We hope folks come out and enjoy.”
The series is set to take place on the first Friday of June, July and August. The movie will be shown on a big screen on the open grassy area directly behind the park’s restroom facility. Join LMU at 8:30 p.m., approximately thirty minutes prior to sundown, to grab a seat. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. The movie will start at sundown, approximately at 9 p.m.
Disney’s “Encanto” will kick off the series in June, followed by a nostalgic showing of “Back to the Future” on July 1. The series will wrap up on August 5 with “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
Start times will vary based on sundown. LMU Dining will provide free refreshments at each show. For more information contact Kate Reagan, senior director of marketing and public relations, at 423.869.6389 or by email at Kate.Reagan@LMUnet.edu.
