Lincoln Memorial University and the J. Frank White Academy (JFWA) are proud to be longstanding participants in the World School International Forum. World School was initiated in 1997 by Masaki Matsudaira of the Tokyo, Japan-based Kanto International Senior High School.
The World School Forum is an annual event that takes place in countries throughout the world. In odd-numbered years, the World School Forum is held in Japan, where it was founded. In even-numbered years, the Forum moves to the country of one of its 21 member schools, one of which is the J. Frank White Academy, located on LMU's Harrogate campus. Lincoln Memorial University hosted the World School Forum in 2002 and again in 2012. Recent World School Forums venues include:
The primary aim of the World School Program is to create a truly borderless community that brings together high school students and teachers from countries around the globe and to help individuals in all member schools create an ideal educational program designed for the world community. Each year, the J. Frank White Academy (JFWA) sends a faculty member and selected student representatives to participate in this memorable international event where they have discussions, learn about the world, and form life-long connections.
