Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) faculty member Dr. Katherine Pebworth has been awarded the 2024 Honor Award from the Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (TAHPERD). Pebworth received the honor during the TAHPERD annual convention, held October 27-29 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Students Presley Cole and Briana Martinez from the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) College of Mathematics, Sciences, and Health Professions recently published their research in Tetrahedron, an organic chemistry journal. Their study investigates a safer synthesis method for a fluorine-modified version of the epilepsy drug Dilantin (phenytoin) and explores why it has a longer duration in the body, but lower effectiveness compared to Dilantin.

The ceremony, a momentous occasion in the journey to becoming occupational therapists, symbolizes the transition from the classroom to clinical practice and the commitment to patient-centered care.
