Doctor of Occupational Therapy Scholarship Symposium Set for April 25

The Lincoln Memorial University-Doctor of Occupational Therapy (LMU-OTD) program will host its annual Scholarship Symposium on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention Center, Room 301 ABC, located at 701 Henley St., Knoxville, TN 37902.

 

The event will showcase individualized capstone and faculty-mentored research projects from OTD students, highlighting a diverse range of topics.. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with students and faculty as they present their work on innovative and evidence-based occupational therapy practices and education.

 

“This symposium is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our students and faculty,” said Colleen Bullen, Program Director. “It provides a platform for our students to share their research and project findings and contribute to the ongoing advancement of occupational therapy.”

 

The event is open to students, professionals, and community members interested in occupational therapy research and practice. Occupational therapists attending the symposium will be eligible to earn two Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

 

The symposium will feature presentations covering a variety of real-world applications, including adaptive sports, rehabilitation technologies, and community-based interventions. The event also emphasizes LMU’s commitment to fostering research that enhances the quality of care for individuals of all ages and abilities.
