Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) has partnered with Barry University’s College of Health & Wellness Biomedical Sciences program to offer a structured pathway for students aspiring to become osteopathic physicians. This conditional guaranteed interview agreement aims to provide Barry students with increased access to medical education and career opportunities in health care.
Barry University’s biomedical sciences program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in medical research, clinical sciences and hands-on laboratory experience. Through this agreement, eligible students who achieve the required GPA, MCAT score and complete designated coursework will qualify for a guaranteed interview with LMU-DCOM.
Beyond academics, students will gain valuable experience in the medical field through research projects, mentorship and exposure to the holistic philosophy of osteopathic medicine. The pathway does not guarantee admission but offers a significant advantage by securing an interview opportunity for students meeting the outlined criteria.
"Barry University has a history of preparing students for careers in health care, and this partnership further enhances those opportunities," said Dr. Christopher Loyke, dean and chief academic officer of LMU-DCOM. "Through this program, we are creating a seamless transition for students ready to embark on a career in osteopathic medicine."
This partnership underscores LMU-DCOM’s commitment to expanding access to medical education and preparing students for rewarding careers in health care.
