The Lincoln Memorial University-Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) has created a scholarship to honor Dr. Randy Evans, a foundational figure in LMU’s veterinary programs and a champion of student success.

LMU recently dedicated the Dr. Randy Evans Veterinary Education and Teaching Center in recognition of Evans’ exceptional contributions to veterinary education and his impact on LMU students.

Evans, a native of Middlesboro, Kentucky, has been instrumental in building LMU’s veterinary programs, including LMU-CVM, which opened in 2010. He currently serves as associate dean of Career Services and Professional Development and professor of Veterinary Medicine at LMU, where he has inspired hundreds of students with his engaging teaching style, deep commitment to education, and unwavering support of student success.

Evans, who earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Auburn University in 1987, has dedicated his career to both veterinary practice and academia, mentoring and shaping the careers of many LMU alumni who now serve in veterinary fields nationwide.

“Dr. Randy Evans embodies the compassion, dedication, and excellence that define a great veterinarian and educator,” said LMU-CVM Dean Stacy Anderson, DVM, PhD, DACVS-LA. “His impact on students and the field of veterinary medicine has been profound.”

LMU is seeking donations to fund the Dr. Randy Evans Veterinary Education Scholarship, which will directly support veterinary students as they pursue their education and career goals.
