Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) honored Erin Johnston as the recipient of the 2024 Dr. R. Martin Peters Young Alumnus of the Year Award.
Johnston, who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2019 and her Master of Public Administration in 2021 from LMU, has been a dedicated member of the LMU community both as a student and as an advisor for Student Support Services.
Johnston’s recent promotion to Advisor for Student Support Services in 2024 is a testament to her understanding of the unique needs of first-generation students, a journey she experienced herself. She has quickly become an invaluable member of the LMU staff, making a profound impact on students and the university.
Beyond her professional role, Johnston is an active volunteer with numerous LMU student organizations and continues to support the revitalization of the Claiborne County Alumni Chapter. Her servant leadership and passion for student success make her an exemplary Railsplitter.
