Faculty members from the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Carter and Moyers School of Education attended the Fall 2024 Tennessee Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (TACTE). The conference served as a platform for leaders in teacher education to discuss current trends, challenges, and advancements in preparing future educators across the state.
The LMU delegation included Sue England, Dr. Karen Foster, Dr. John McCook, Dr. Chessica Cave, and Dr. Susan Wagner. During the conference, held in Franklin, Tennessee, the group engaged with fellow educators and administrators to address critical topics, such as the evolving needs in teacher preparation programs and innovative strategies for enhancing student engagement and academic success.
“TACTE provided us with a unique opportunity to exchange insights with colleagues statewide. We returned with actionable ideas that will help strengthen our programs and, ultimately, benefit the future teachers we prepare,” Wagner said.
By participating in TACTE, the LMU School of Education faculty continue to demonstrate their commitment to shaping the next generation of educators, equipped with both practical knowledge and research-based teaching strategies. Their involvement aligns with LMU’s mission of advancing education and supporting communities across Tennessee and beyond.
