Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business Dean Kelsey Metz has been selected as a participant in the Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association (TICUA) 2024-25 Executive Leadership Institute. This program, now in its eighth year, brings together senior leaders from private and independent colleges across Tennessee for an intensive, nine-month leadership development experience.
“Dr. Metz is an outstanding candidate for the ELI and an excellent representative for LMU,” said LMU Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Jay Stubblefield, PhD. “As an innovative, hard-working leader, she will be an asset to the program while learning valuable strategies that will benefit the School of Business and the University, at large.”
Metz was chosen to represent LMU among a cohort of 19 distinguished leaders known as Pressnell Fellows, who will engage in critical discussions and collaborative projects designed to address key challenges in higher education management. The program’s curriculum covers essential topics such as board development, strategic planning, student success, finance, and leadership transition. Participants will work closely with TICUA member presidents and experts to apply data-driven strategies to real-world higher education challenges.
As dean of the LMU School of Business, Metz has demonstrated a commitment to fostering academic excellence and student achievement. Her participation in the Executive Leadership Institute underscores her dedication to continued growth and leadership in higher education.
TICUA’s Executive Leadership Institute has become a significant steppingstone for higher education leaders in Tennessee, with many past participants advancing to prominent leadership roles, including college presidencies. The program is recognized for its role in preparing the next generation of higher education executives.
