Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

Are you interested in helping those in need in your community and beyond with exercise and physical therapy? Earn your Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science degree from Lincoln Memorial University! 

As a part of the School of Mathematics and Sciences, the Sport and Exercise Science Department will provide you with a deeper understanding of the physiological, biomechanical and psychological effects of exercise on the human body. At LMU, we offer two options within the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program: a Pre-Occupational Therapy track and a general exercise science track.

If you choose to pursue the general track, you will have the option to select concentrations including sport coaching, sport therapy and health. By pursuing the general exercise science track, you will be prepared for a wide variety of careers in fields of wellness and fitness.

How to Apply

For admission into the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program, you must apply either through the LMU portal or through the Common Application. If you choose the Common App, just go to commonapp.org, sign up or log in to your account and choose "Lincoln Memorial University."

Guaranteed Professional Admission Program

When you begin pursuing your BS degree at LMU, you may be eligible for guaranteed entry to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program through the Guaranteed Professional Admission (GPA) program.

This program is unique to Lincoln Memorial University: it allows you, as a motivated high school senior, to earn guaranteed acceptance into one of our professional degree pathways once you have successfully completed your undergraduate degree of choice at LMU. Each professional program has unique benchmarks and requirements throughout but is committed to offering you a head start in pursuing your professional education.

To qualify, you must meet the following academic qualifications:

GPA Program Supplemental Application

3+3 Pathway

As a new, first-time freshman, you may even qualify for LMU's Guaranteed Professional Admission program and earn admission to LMU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program while pursuing regular college admissions. If you do not apply or qualify for the GPA program, you will have access to a general 3+3 pathway.
