Join the field of physical health and wellness in your community and beyond with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Rehabilitation Science from Lincoln Memorial University! As a part of the School of Mathematics and Sciences, the Sport and Exercise Science Department will provide you with a nuanced understanding of the physiological, biomechanical and psychological effects of exercise on the human body.
As an Exercise and Rehabilitation Science major, you will have the opportunity to study human movement and the impact physical activity and exercise can have on an individual. Plus, the focus on rehabilitation science emphasizes how physical therapy and activity can help improve wellness and allow individuals to recover from serious injury and illness.
During your time at LMU, you will also have the unique opportunity to complete a "3+3 pathway" to the DPT degree. This means you will complete three years of undergraduate study before matriculating in LMU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program. If you do not qualify for the GPA program, you still have access to a general 3+3 path. If this sounds like the path for you, it's never too early to get started. Even as a first-year freshman, you may be able to qualify for LMU's Guaranteed Professional Admission program and to be admitted into LMU's Doctor of Physical Therapy program alongside your primary college admissions if you meet the following qualifications:
