At LMU, we offer three undergraduate pathways towards a chemistry degree depending on your goals and interests. As a student in our chemistry program, you will have access to a variety of opportunities and resources. You'll learn in state of the art classrooms, laboratories, and equipment in our 140,000 square-foot Hamilton Math and Science Building. Faculty-mentored independent research opportunities offer further chances to learn and get hands-on with the concepts and theories you've explored in class as you prepare for a chemistry career.
If you are more interested in pursuing an educational career in chemistry, we offer a Secondary Teacher Education Licensure program to prepare you to serve the young minds in your community as a middle school or high school teacher.
Maybe you've already planned ahead and have begun exploring professional and graduate programs to follow up your undergraduate degree. We have something for you too! The Bachelor of Science in Chemistry Pre-Med program is just what you've been looking for. As a pre-medical student, you will master foundational concepts across chemistry and the life sciences and use them to advance to master's and doctorate programs in health sciences and beyond!
Admission Requirements
Review the list below to ensure that you meet the requirements needed to be eligible for the chemistry program at LMU! To qualify, you must have:
- Completed high school with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.2 on a 4-point grading scale. ACT/SAT scores are optional. If you submit your test scores to the Office of Admissions, they will be reviewed on an individual case.
- General Education Development (GED) examination with an average of at least 45 with no component scores below 35.

How to Apply
To be admitted into the chemistry program at Lincoln Memorial University, you must apply through the LMU portal. To be considered for entry, your application must be completed.
At LMU, we have "rolling admissions", which means that our Admissions team will review completed applications as soon as they have been received and deemed complete. You can check the status of your application at any time on the LMU portal.
