The BA – EDSL program was designed as a licensure pathway for you to earn your K-5 Elementary Education initial teacher licensure, with English as a second language certification. At LMU, we even offer a BS – EDLL program, which will help to provide you with Elementary Education initial teacher licensure with an ESL concentration, but no full certification.
During your time in the program, you will receive top-notch, hands-on learning experiences both in class from our talented faculty and in the field from real world practice in K-5 classrooms. Our faculty members in the Education program have developed extensive experience as both classroom teachers and school administrators, ensuring that you receive the opportunity to learn practical lessons sure to be applicable in your own classroom. As a candidate for licensure in our program, we encourage you to make the most of the wide range of clinical and field experiences offered at LMU, working alongside real teachers in their own classrooms.
