How to Apply

At Lincoln Memorial University, our SMS-Knoxville PA program follows what is called a "rolling admissions cycle." This means that your application will be reviewed once it has been received by the program. If you possess a stronger academic profile, you are more likely to be selected for a student applicant interview. Before you can be considered for a student applicant interview, you must first submit the following:

Once you have been selected for a student applicant interview, you will be contacted either by phone or email to schedule your interview. Once you have completed one or more student applicant interview sessions, the Admissions Committee will choose to offer admission, place you on a waitlist, or decline the offer of admission.

Following your interview, the Admissions Committee will notify you of their decision in writing as soon as possible. With student applicant interviews continuing until the maximum class size (100 students) is reached, we recommend you complete your application early in the CASPA cycle.

Program Outcomes

According to U.S. News & World Report, physician assistant (PA) is consistently ranked as a top career in healthcare. The average annual wage for a PA is over $100,000, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics projects that the PA field will only continue to grow and at a faster pace than the overall average for all occupations. With this job offering such a great return on investment and there being so many underserved communities in need, there really is no better time to work towards a career as a physician's assistant.
