The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences has announced a spring lineup of fine arts events for the community including music, theater and visual arts.

Now – February 26 – “Rock and Bird” by Amy Evans Art Exhibition at LMU Arts in the Gap, Cumberland Gap (free)
Amy Evans is a professor of art and department chair at Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tennessee. She has worked in clay for over 25 years and has a home studio in Seymour, TN. The artist's reception will be on Wednesday, February 26 from 4-6 p.m.
January 23 – Tod Dickow & the Charged Particles at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
San Francisco-based jazz super trip Tod Dickow and the Charged Particles will perform a tribute to legendary saxophonist Michael Brecker.
February 27 – Ben Bruflat & Mimi Zhang at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
Experience A Joyful Journey—a vibrant trumpet and piano performance celebrating happiness in all forms: love, friendship, and heartfelt memories. The program features timeless works by George Gershwin and Giuseppe Verdi alongside modern pieces by Cecilia McDowall and Marcus Grant. As a special tribute to our university’s namesake, the evening will conclude with an encore sure to delight any Abraham Lincoln fan.
March 3 – 21 – LMU Student Art Exhibition at LMU Arts in the Gap, Cumberland Gap (free)
LMU Student Art Exhibition with a reception and awards ceremony March 13, 5-7 p.m. This annual student competition will showcase the work of any student enrolled at LMU, no matter their major.
March 31 – April 11 - Art Exhibition at LMU Arts in the Gap, Cumberland Gap (free)
The artist’s reception is on April 3 from 5 – 7 p.m.
April 10 – Laura Pritchard at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
Laura Pritchard, lyric mezzo-soprano, has received national recognition from The American Prize in Voice and was awarded First Place in the Advanced Classical Division of the Alabama NATS Competition. Pritchard has performed numerous roles including Carmen in Carmen, Florence Pike in Albert Herring, Maurya in Riders to the Sea, Giannetta in The Elixir of Love, Zita in Gianni Schicchi, and Dritte Dame in Die Zauberflöte.
April 11 -12 – Barefoot in the Park by the LMU Players at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m.
LMU Players will present “Barefoot in the Park” directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Joe Gill.
April 14 – 25 - Appalachian Art Student Exhibit at LMU Arts in the Gap, Cumberland Gap (free)
An exhibition of artwork created by students in Lincoln Memorial University's ART 400 Appalachian Art. Students explore traditional Appalachian art forms and create works that deal with their lives as residents of the southern Appalachian region. The exhibition runs Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Reception April 17 from 5-7 p.m.
April 16 - LMU Community Choir at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
The singers in the choir include LMU undergraduate students, graduate students, LMU faculty, staff, and community members.
April 22 – LMU Concert Band at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
April 24 – LMU Jazz Band at the Duke Hall of Citizenship at 7 p.m. (free)
