LMU-DCOM Welcomes Class of 2028

group photo of students in harrogateLincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) welcomed 459 future physicians into its Class of 2028. This milestone includes 243 students beginning their studies at the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee, and 216 students at the LMU-Knoxville campus.

 

These students are pursuing a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree through LMU-DCOM’s four-year, full-time academic and clinical program. The curriculum is delivered by experienced faculty using innovative teaching methods and cutting-edge technology.

LMU-DCOM is dedicated to addressing community and regional health care needs with excellence in education, patient care, and services.

 The students began with a comprehensive orientation program in July and have since settled into their class schedules and campus life activities.

LMU-DCOM's rigorous admissions process ensures this class is composed of diverse and talented individuals who are well-prepared to make significant contributions to osteopathic medicine. The Class of 2028 was selected from a competitive pool of 5,426 applicants, highlighting their exceptional qualifications and dedication to the medical field. Among the new students, 216 are from the Southern Appalachian region, with 146 hailing from the tri-state area of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia.
