Master of Veterinary Education

Take your career as a veterinary educator to the next level with Lincoln Memorial University's Master of Veterinary Education (MVed) program! We've designed our MVEd program specifically for current Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) faculty or veterinary practitioners seeking advanced training in the foundations of education. Our program will assist you in improving the quality of veterinary education through increasing awareness and overall knowledge of educational research, theory and evidence-based teaching practices within the veterinary profession.

Though the individual curricular topics will be related to veterinary medicine, this is an education degree, and both the subject matter and objectives will focus on advancing your educational research, theory and evidence-based teaching practices. If you are interested in pursuing a career as a veterinarian, please explore the Master of Science in Veterinary Biomedical Science (VBMS) program.

Pursuing your master's degree can be a major boon to your career but can be a challenge to balance your education with your other career responsibilities. That's why the MVEd program at LMU is 100% online, asynchronous and flexible. We designed this program with working professionals like you in mind, so you can learn and earn your master's degree at your pace and convenience.

Depending on your prior education, professional experience and other circumstances, you will have the option to enroll as a full- or part-time student. This degree requires a total of 32 credit hours and can be completed within two years as a full-time student (minimum of seven credit hours per semester) or three to four years as a part-time student.
