To enter the ASN program, no, but we strongly recommend that MOST or all of the prerequisites are completed. We want you to have completed both Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II with labs, and College Algebra before beginning the NURS courses. For other prerequisites, refer to the courses listed under the program you are interested in.
To enter the BSN program, you must have all prerequisite courses completed. Due to the accelerated nature and the intensity of the BSN program, these must be completed at the end of the summer before beginning nursing courses in the fall.
For the ASN, students will have classes one day a week and clinicals one day a week during their first semester. For all subsequent semesters, students will have classes two days a week and clinicals two days a week.
For the BSN, students will have classes two days a week and clinicals two days a week, with the remaining day of the week for labs and clinical prep.
