Undergraduate Majors

The School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is home to some of LMU's most diverse and historical majors in the fields of Communication and Fine Arts, Language and Literature, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Social Work.

Graduate Degrees

LMU's Master of Public Administration Program (MPA), Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ), and Master of Science in Psychology (MSP)
These graduate programs are all offered as fully online graduate programs.

Accelerated Path to Graduate Work in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (AHSS)

If you are a current LMU undergraduate student and you are interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, and Psychology, and you want an accelerated path, please see our Advance to Master's Program (AMP), available for the MPA, MSCJ, MSP, and MBA (School of Business).  AMP is available for those who qualify.

Other Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Programs

In addition to liberal arts degree programs, minors, and graduate programs the Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is home to Arts in the GapMusic at LMU, Theatre program, and Pre-Law Majors.  A number of student clubs also have their homes with the School, including lmuart, the English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta, the LMU Players, SHARE club (Social Work), the Psychology Club, and the Alpha Beta Epsilon Chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association.

Pottery Wheel Workshop LMU Arts in the Gap Awarded Grant to Expand Summer Workshops December 2, 2024

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Arts in the Gap (AITG) program, part of the Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, has been awarded a $10,000 grant through South Arts’ In These Mountains: Central Appalachian Folk Arts & Culture FY25 Project Grants to expand its summer workshop series.

Dr. Edward “Trey” Asbury, graduate coordinator and Master of Science in Psychology program director at the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, recently presented on artificial intelligence (AI) in educational settings at the University of Gloucestershire and the University of Wolverhampton.
