For many students of the sciences, medical school is the ultimate goal. With a doctorate in osteopathic medicine (DO), you can achieve your dream of becoming a practicing physician and obtain your white coat from one of our two modern medical school locations.
Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) currently offers two locations for its Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine professional degree program: Harrogate, TN and Knoxville, TN. We deliver quality educational programs through experienced faculty utilizing innovative teaching methods and state-of-the-art technology. LMU-DCOM is fully committed to meeting the community's health care needs and beyond with excellence in teaching, patient care, and services.
DCOM's curriculum is a four-year, full-time academic and clinical degree program, which grants its graduates the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
The curriculum stresses the interdependence of the biological, clinical, behavioral, and social sciences. We emphasize educating physicians for primary care medicine, employing the distinctive osteopathic principles for maintaining health, and treatment of disease.
You will complete the curriculum in two phases:
A primary care physician must be skilled in problem-solving and demonstrate expertise in diagnosis. To ensure you can achieve these standards, the DCOM curriculum emphasizes the integration of basic and clinical sciences in medical practice.
