nursing studentsThe Lincoln Memorial University-Caylor School of Nursing (LMU-CSON) will host an in-person Information Session from 3 to 6 p.m. at the LMU-Blount (234 E. Howe Street, Alcoa, Tennessee) learning site on Wednesday, April 21.

The session, which requires face masks and social distancing, will provide prospective students and the community an opportunity to meet faculty and admissions representatives, and apply on site. LMU-CSON offers both the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and the Licensed Practical Nurse to ASN degree programs. Both qualify graduates to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) exam for licensure as a registered nurse. For more information about the info session call 423.869.6324.

LMU’s ASN program is a part-time program that can be completed in four semesters while the LPN-ASN program is designed for LPNs with at least one year of experience and can be completed in three semesters. LMU’s ASN curriculum prepares graduates to be safe and effective caregivers who are able to function successfully in entry level RN positions after passing the NCLEX-RN exam.

In 2020, nearly 200 LMU ASN graduates also sat for the most recent NCLEX administration. Of the first-time test takers, 85.35% passed on the first attempt, a mark that exceeds national pass rates. The ASN grads represented five LMU-CSON sites including the LMU main campus, LMU-Blount in Alcoa, Tennessee, LMU-Cedar Bluff, LMU-Corbin in Corbin, Kentucky, and LMU-Tampa.

Lincoln Memorial University is a values-based learning community dedicated to providing educational experiences in the liberal arts and professional studies. The main campus is located in Harrogate, Tennessee.
