LMU Confers the Degrees of 370 during Winter Commencement
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) President Clayton Hess conferred 370 degrees in a virtual ceremony on Saturday, December 12.
Dr. Belle Wheelan, the president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, gave the virtual commencement address. She shared five pieces of wisdom that have helped her throughout her career. “If you think you are finished learning, you are wrong. You may never attend another formal class or write another term paper or research another project,” she said. “But you will be provided with opportunities to learn as you go through life. Embrace those opportunities.”
Overall, 41 associate, 147 baccalaureate, 98 masters, 31 educational specialist and 30 professional degrees were conferred upon degree candidates from the School of Allied Health Sciences, the Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the School of Business, the Carter and Moyers School of Education, the Caylor School of Nursing, the School of Mathematics and Sciences, the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Duncan School of Law and the School of Medical Sciences. Degree recipients will be mailed their diplomas in January along with a commencement program to commemorate the virtual ceremony.
