Nichols Set To Play Golf at LMU
Frank White Academy (JFWA) senior Olivia Nichols will continue her golf career at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) after she graduates.
“Ever since I was in elementary school I would see the LMU golf team at Woodlake and dream of playing for them,” Nichols said. “Now that the time has come I couldn’t be more excited to represent the Railsplitters and hopefully contribute to the team’s success. The opportunity to play in college is not something that I take lightly, and I can’t wait to continually improve my game alongside this group of people. I am looking forward to the new memories and experiences that are to come and can’t wait to get started.”
Her high school golf accomplishments include parring her last five holes of her junior season as well as having four winning seasons.
“LMU and Coach Muncy are very fortunate to have Olivia playing for them in the fall,” said JFWA golf coach Jake Carver. “While Olivia has attended JFWA, our girls golf team has accumulated an impressive 27-9 record. She is one of the most competitive, determined athletes I have ever coached. She strives to be the best player on the course. I know she will succeed at the collegiate level; I am so proud of Olivia!”
Nichols is the daughter of Mark and Teresa Nichols of Tazewell, Tennessee, who are pictured along with her brother, Isaiah, and sister, Sophia.
