JFWA FACULTY FRIDAY PROFILE: KATIE BISCEGLIA-STOTTS
HARROGATE, Tennessee, January 29, 2021— J. Frank White Academy (JFWA) kindergarten teacher Katie Bisceglia-Stotts is in her 10th year at the Academy.
I have a B.S. from LMU in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Learning and Development; M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction; Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction; and have completed all but my dissertation for an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction.
My favorite part of teaching is waking up every morning knowing that I have the privilege of speaking life into the most impressionable minds imaginable, and knowing that I have the opportunity to instill in them the belief that they can go anywhere, do anything, and be anything! Every day, I get to ensure that a precious group of valuable people know just how AMAZING they are!
When I reflect on my time in school, two teachers stick out in my mind: my kindergarten teacher, Jawanna Jackson, and my 5th grade teacher, Dr. Tony Maxwell. These two people are largely responsible for helping me be who I am today!
My favorite vacation destination is Walt Disney World because I can unleash my inner Disney princess! Special talent… I can do a donkey call.
