Eastbound from Nashville on I-40 East and northbound from Chattanooga on I-75 North:
Follow I-40 East/I-75 North towards Knoxville
Merge onto TN-158 W/JAMES WHITE PKWY via EXIT 388A.
Turn RIGHT onto SUMMIT HILL DR SE.
601 W SUMMIT HILL DR is on the RIGHT.
Westbound from Asheville on I-40 West (including Southbound from Bristol on I-81 South)
Merge onto I-40 W via EXIT 31B toward CANTON/KNOXVILLE (Crossing into TENNESSEE).
Take the HALL OF FAME DR exit, EXIT 389, toward US-441 N/BROADWAY.
Take the HALL OF FAME DR ramp.
Turn LEFT onto HALL OF FAME DR NE.
Turn RIGHT onto SUMMIT HILL DR SE. 601 W SUMMIT HILL DR is on the RIGHT.Southbound from Lexington on I-75 South
Follow I-75 South to Knoxville
Follow the sign to I-275 South to Knoxville (left-hand lane)
You will see a sign that says, “Downtown FOLLOW US HWY 441”
At the split at “WEST Interstate 40 to SOUTH Interstate 75 Nashville/Chattanooga” and “WEST Tennessee HWY 158 and SOUTH US HWY 441 James White Pky/Henley St” get into the far right lane and follow “WEST Tennessee HWY 158 and SOUTH US HWY 441 James White Pky/Henley St”
Then follow the sign that says “US HWY 441 SOUTH Henley St”
At the split at “WEST Tennessee HWY 158 James White Pky” and “SOUTH US HWY 441 Henley St” get into the right lane and follow “SOUTH US HWY 441 Henley St”
At the split at “SOUTH US HWY 441 Henley St” and “RT 62 Western Ave/Summit Hill Dr” get into the right lane and follow “RT 62 Western Ave/Summit Hill Dr”
At the traffic light at Western Avenue follow the sign “Downtown – Summit Hill Dr – Left Lanes” and turn left onto Western Avenue
Drive .1 of a mile to the first traffic light (JCT of US HWY 11-70-441/ intersection of Broadway and Henley Street)
Turn left onto Broadway, then make an immediate right turn into the parking area at the LMU Duncan School of Law at the Old City Hall Building
From the Knoxville/McGhee Tyson Airport
Start out going SOUTH on AIRPORT HWY/ALCOA HWY/US-129 S/TN-115 S
Take the TN-335 ramp
Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto TN-335/E HUNT RD/W HUNT RD.
Merge onto US-129 N/TN-115 N.
Drive 12.2 miles on US-129 and merge onto I-40 E toward ASHEVILLE/I-75/LEXINGTON
Take the US-441 S/HENLEY ST exit, EXIT 388, toward DOWNTOWN
Take the TN-62 ramp toward WESTERN AVE/SUMMIT HILL DR.
Turn LEFT onto WESTERN AVE/TN-62.
Drive .1 of a mile to the first traffic light (JCT of US HWY 11-70-441/ intersection of Broadway and Henley Street)
Turn left onto Broadway, then make an immediate right turn into the parking area at the LMU Duncan School of Law at the Old City Hall Building
Parking
Currently, there is very limited parking available at the Old City Hall Building. The entrance to the parking area is located at the corner of Broadway and Summit Hill Drive with the entrance being on Broadway.
If all of the spaces are full, there are a couple of additional parking garages nearby that can be utilized. The first is the Market Square Garage located one block off of Summit Hill Drive on Walnut Street between Union Avenue and Wall Avenue. The second is the Locust Street Garage located on Locust Street between Union Avenue and Clinch Avenue.
Drivers can park in these garages — as in all City-owned garages — free on weeknights and weekends, with the exception of UT football games when the charge is just $5. Please see the following website for more information about parking in downtown Knoxville:

To get to these parking garages (if all of the spaces are full in the parking area at the Old City Hall building):
Turn right out of the parking area at the Old City Hall building
(Note: This is a very busy thoroughfare – use extreme caution! You can also turn left onto Broadway and then make another left onto Summit Hill Drive to access I-40 East to ASHEVILLE or turn right onto Western Avenue to access I-40 West to NASHVILLE and I-275 North to LEXINGTON. However, it is very difficult to turn left onto Broadway from the parking area at the Old City Hall building and it is not advised.)
Drive .2 of a mile to the four-way stop sign at Gay Street
Turn right onto Gay Street
Drive .1 of a mile to the first traffic light at W. Summit Hill Drive
Turn right onto W. Summit Hill Drive
Drive .2 of a mile to the second traffic light at Locust Street
Turn left onto Locust Street (then follow the directions for one of the following garages)
Market Square Garage
Drive two blocks on Locust Street to Union Avenue
Turn left on Union Avenue
Drive one block to Walnut Street
Turn left onto Walnut Street
The Market Square Garage will be on the right. Turn right into the entrance to the Market Square Garage.
Locust Street Garage
Drive two blocks on Locust Street to Union Avenue
Go straight through the intersection at Union Avenue and then turn left into the Locust Street Garage
Getting back to Interstates 40, 75, 275 and 81:
Turn right out of the parking area at the Old City Hall building

Drive .3 of a mile to S. Central Street (proceeding through the four-way stop sign at Gay Street between Broadway and S. Central Street)
Turn right onto S. Central Street
Drive .1 of a mile to the first traffic light at W. Summit Hill Drive
Get into the left lane and turn left onto W. Summit Hill Drive
Drive .1 of a mile to S. Hall of Fame Drive
Get into the far right lane and turn right onto S. Hall of Fame Drive and then make an immediate right turn to access the interstates
To get to I-40 West and I-75 North get in the left lane and follow the sign for “I-40 West to I-275 North-NASHVILLE-LEXINGTON”
To get to I-40 East and I-81 North get in the right lane and follow the sign “I-40 East to ASHEVILLE”
