Welcome to the Department of Information Services

The Information Services Department at Lincoln Memorial University is dedicated to providing computing and communications infrastructure; software services and support; and innovative instructional, research, and administrative programs.

Information Technology objectives includes:
  • Assessing the technological needs of University departments/units
  • Work with other units to provide a wide range of services for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the surrounding community
  • Through assessment, strive for continuous improvement in everything we touch
  • Maintain the strategic plan and identify and prioritize the technology needs of the University
  • Align human and financial resources to support the strategic directions of the University
  • Provide technology infrastructure that support the University growth
  • Maintain systematic communication channels for technological needs
To carry out our mission, IS meets regularly in our Technology Planning Committee and subcommittees to ensure that we stay in touch with on-campus and extended site needs.

For assistance with technology problems, including email issues, Blackboard problems, Datatel questions, or other support related topics, please contact the Help Desk. Our Help Desk site can be found at web link here and will allow you to self-serve with our knowledgebase or log a trouble call. Please visit our Help Desk website for more detail instructions.

After normal business hours the Helpdesk phone will transfer to our afterhours support center. This service will log all calls and transfer the unsolvable ones to our local helpdesk. All calls are put into a service queue based on the priority determined. Emergency after hour calls (System Down) will be escalated to IS staff so that we can address the emergency timely.

Our normal hours of operation are:

Monday through Friday - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Our extended hours (phone and web-based service only) are:

Monday through Friday - 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Weekend extended hours (phone and web-based service only) are:

Saturday - 8:00 AM to 9:30 PM
Sunday - 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM
