Accreditation

CAEP

Lincoln Memorial University's Carter and Moyers School of Education has earned national accreditation by demonstrating excellence in content and pedagogy, clinical experiences, candidate selectivity, program impact, and a commitment to continuous improvement by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) from 2020 through 2027. CAEP is a nationally recognized, non-profit agency that accredits teacher preparation programs.

The following programs were included in the CAEP 2020 accreditation review:

Initial Programs: Biology Education, Business Education, Chemistry Education, Elementary Education, ELL Education, English Education, History Education, Math Education, Music Education, Physical Education, Special Education (Interventionist, Comprehensive), Visual Arts

Advanced Programs: Instructional Leadership and School Counseling

The next accreditation decision will be made Fall 2027. The Carter & Moyers School of Education will continue to focus on continuous improvement while providing programs that enhance and improve the learning of children.

CACREP

The School Counseling Program and Mental Health Counseling Programs at Lincoln Memorial University are Accredited by CACREP, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs. CACREP Accreditation is a quality review process that ensures the quality, content, and delivery of the counselor education program. The student can be assured that appropriate knowledge and skill areas are included in training and that the program is stable and meets the highest standards of the Counseling profession.
